As with any custom vehicle conversion, the cost ultimately depends on your specific needs. A custom dashboard is a highly personal upgrade, and we aim to provide options that suit both DIY enthusiasts and those seeking a professional installation.

Most of our customers prefer to purchase the dashboard or HVAC system for installation either on their own or through a trusted local shop. However, we do offer a full installation service upon request, based on availability.

Installing the dashboard typically requires 35 - 40 hours of labor, depending on your experience and familiarity with the Defender's systems. Our detailed installation video walks you through the entire process. The most time-consuming step is rewiring the original switches to the new Carling Contura V switches included in the kit.

As a reference, our charge for a full dashboard installation is around $2,750 USD (plus tax).

The Defender AC/Heater system is simpler to install, as it's designed to be universal. A typical DIY install should take no more than 15 hours. If you'd prefer us to handle it, we offer professional installation for $1,200 USD (plus tax), which includes nitrogen pressure testing and a full R134a refrigerant charge.
